All-South Texas MVP: Brewer makes impact in many ways for Bluff basketball

All-South Texas MVP: Whittington takes on leadership role as a senior

Darias Whittington’s brother isn’t the only one in his family that can say he was a Caller-Times All-South Texas Basketball MVP for Carroll High School.

The Tigers’ 5-foot-5 senior point guard, Darias, joined her older brother DaMarcus in that regard this season by earning 2015 Caller-Times All-South Texas Girls Basketball MVP honors.

“We always compete in everything we do,” Darias said of she and DaMarcus. “He might have gotten two (of those MVP honors), but at least I got one.”
